The Streaming Giant Casts Ideal Actor for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Third Season
Baroque Works is geared up to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the major clash won’t unfold until the third season, and a cherished, popular member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed Tuesday that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Mr. 2. The role possesses the power to transform into an exact copy of anyone they’ve made contact with with their main hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a version of that figure re-envisioned as non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action series, as in the source material and animated series.
This performer is joined by multiple new cast members who will portray Baroque Works to life, such as chief Sir Crocodile, played by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the lineup as the ruler of the desert kingdom.
Although Bon Clay is a major member of the organization, the individual will be introduced in One Piece season 3. Considering the next season likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this represents a notable change in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could indicate more adjustments to the narrative framework.
