Militiamen laugh as they ride on the back of a pick-up truck, racing alongside a line of nine lifeless forms and driving in the direction of the setting African evening sky.
"See such work. Look at this instance of genocide," a combatant exclaims.
The individual beams as he directs the camera on his own face and his fellow combatants, their paramilitary badges on display: "These people shall all die this way."
The combatants are rejoicing over a mass killing that relief organizations suspect claimed the lives of over 2,000 individuals in the Sudanese city of el-Fasher last month.
A Community Severed from the Outside
After maintaining the urban area under encirclement for approximately 24 months, from August the RSF proceeded to reinforce its position and prevent access for the remaining residents.
Orbital photography show that forces started to erect a massive sand wall - a raised sand barrier - encircling the boundaries of al-Fashir, blocking roads and blocking humanitarian assistance.
During the encirclement escalated, seventy-eight civilians were slain in an militia attack on a place of worship on 19 September, while the UN said dozens further were slain in unmanned aircraft and cannon attacks on a makeshift community in the autumn.
Graphic Footage Reveals Weaponless Individuals Gunned Down
At dawn on late October the paramilitary force conquered the last government positions and captured the main headquarters in the community, the main facility of the Military Unit, as the military retreated.
Perhaps the most horrific footage to surface and analysed depicted the aftermath of a atrocity at a campus structure on the west of the community, where numerous dead bodies were observed strewn throughout the area.
A senior person clad in a robe sat alone amongst the bodies. The individual turned to glance as a combatant armed with a firearm proceeded descending the staircase towards the victim. lifting his firearm, the shooter discharged a one shot at the individual, who fell to the surface motionless.
"How come is this person even breathing," another fighter shouted. "Execute him."
Satellite images captured on October 26th seemed to verify that shootings were also carried out on the thoroughfares of el-Fasher, according to a analysis published by the university analysis team.
A key witness who provided testimony said he had witnessed "numerous of our family members getting killed - they were assembled in a specific area and everyone killed."
Paramilitary Leaders Attempt to Conduct Reputation Management
During the period that ensued from the atrocity, RSF chief conceded that his forces had perpetrated "atrocities" and said the occurrences would be investigated.
Included among arrested was following a report documenting his murders. Deliberately orchestrated and modified footage published on the militia's official Telegram channel show the commander being escorted into a detention area at a jail on the outskirts of al-Fashir.
Simultaneously, the RSF and connected digital profiles started attempting to reshape the account.
Posts depicting its combatants handing out supplies to civilians were shared by some users, while the paramilitary's public relations unit shared several clips allegedly to demonstrate the compassionate handling of military prisoners of war.
Regardless of the digital initiative being used by the RSF, their activities in el-Fasher have provoked international condemnation.
