Fresh Information Come to Light About the Finding of the Bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner Bodies

Fresh particulars have surfaced about the tragic deaths of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were discovered at their Brentwood, Los Angeles home on Sunday.

A Discovery

According to a report referencing a person close to the family, a practitioner arriving for an session initially became concerned after not being able to enter the house. The practitioner then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides close by.

Upon entering the house, Romy came upon her father's body. It is said she then fled the house in anguish, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was also present. A companion who had accompanied her promptly called 911. Afterward, paramedics found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Proceedings

Law enforcement have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of first-degree murder, as well as the charge related to a weapon, reportedly a knife. He is presently detained without bail.

Correcting the Record

The confidential informant also disputed several initial details. They said that while Romy Reiner told first responders that her brother Nick lived in a separate structure on the estate, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that time.

The source also refuted circulated suggestions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been unusually "apprehensive" about Nick's actions in the preceding period. Rather the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

This correction also extends to accounts of reportedly "unpredictable" behavior by Nick at a party held by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the bodies were found. Although the source stated they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they maintained that suggestions of a "major confrontation" between the two were not correct.

Investigation Timeline

Per law enforcement officials, the coroner had yet to determine at that point whether the Reiners died on Saturday evening or on Sunday. Some accounts suggested the state of their bodies suggested they had been dead for a number of hours.

Nick Reiner was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, some 15 miles from the scene. He was due to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, indicated his client had not been medically cleared and would not appear until Wednesday or later.
