Actor Denies Anti-Vaccine Stance After Narrating Disputed Coronavirus Film

Liam Neeson has lent his vocal talents to a new documentary that casts doubt on the efficacy of vaccines and commends one-time government figure the political figure.

The Film's Provocative Origins

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the film is adapted from a bestselling book written by a disgraced researcher, who rose to infamy during the pandemic for claims that the illness was linked to a faulty batch of the seasonal immunization.

Her writing partner, Kent Heckenlively, has penned books with controversial media personality Alex Jones. The producer wrote online celebrating Neeson's role in the documentary.

A Firm Statement

The team of Liam Neeson have issued a statement firmly refuting suggestions that he holds anti-vax views.

"Everyone can understand that corruption may occur within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be conflated with rejection of vaccines," the response states. "He is not, and is not, anti-vax. His long work with Unicef reinforces his consistent support for global immunisation initiatives."

The statement noted that the actor had no hand in the project's narrative and that questions about its claims should be directed to the producers.

Major Assertions In the Documentary

In the film, the narration read by Neeson makes several provocative points:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have demanded "blind obedience" to government bodies.
  • It posits that "science has become deeply influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured claiming, "The big problem with vaccines is that they are not safely tested."
  • The narration also criticizes stay-at-home orders, claiming they caused severe distress that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Regarding Covid vaccines, it mentions a perspective that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Past Background and Current Issues

The documentary includes a historical film about AIDS medication trials on children, which was later the subject of a formal apology by the corporation for violations of guidelines.

In recent weeks, RFK Jr instructed the CDC to change its official position that there is no link between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This supposed link is also referenced in the documentary, even with a recent study from the World Health Organisation reiterating no evidence has been found.

An Earlier Position of Support

Differing from the film's tone, Neeson has previously shown firm endorsement for vaccines in his position as a Unicef global ambassador.

Previously, he called vaccines as "an extraordinary achievement," adding that "The discourse about vaccines in lately has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in history."

The film concludes with Neeson's narration proclaiming, "This marks not the finish of our journey. Rather, it is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
